Two power sources that work as one
The electric motor is cleverly integrated directly between the TSI petrol engine and the 6‑speed DSG transmission, so both power sources drive through the same gearset. Together, they deliver up to 200kW of combined output and up to 400Nm of torque , with smooth, familiar shifting and the kind of drive you expect from a Volkswagen. A 1.5 litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine works totally in sync with the electric motor so you can move from A to B with total confidence.
Battery build and placement
A 19.7kWh lithium‑ion battery delivers over 100km of electric driving for everyday trips. Integrated into the vehicle architecture rather than added on, it helps preserve balance, stability and confident handling. Positioned low within the structure, it supports a stable centre of gravity and composed control on the road. Clever temperature management quietly looks after the battery, helping maintain smooth, consistent performance in changing conditions.
Charge up, no dramas
